Bird & wildlife watching in Quebec and elsewhere

Below a Wild Turkey snapped on my last Snowy Owl search. Three times I’ve been out looking recently but no Snowy Owls, it has been a very quiet winter for them.
Over half a centuary old and still birding strong. Now based in Quebec, Canada and enjoying every minute. I've been birding since black & white TV. I also take time to look at dragonflies and butterflies and frequently drag my poor, suffering wife to insect infested rainforests but she is still with me so it can't be all bad. Why NotDennis? Because my name is Mark!
Fatter, greyer and now 55 but what can you do. Moved to Canada in 2003, still no idea what icing means in hockey nor do I care. Birder first, dragonflies and butterflies next. Seen a few, found a few try to go birding every day. Wife, Sandra. Not a bad old stick all things considered, hardly ever complains when dragged around bug infested jungles or sewage farms these days, still finds it hard to ignore the privee signs though!

They are quite common in this area now but were not very common when we moved here in 2003. Sometimes I see flocks of 50 or more wandering around the fields.
